What is the role?
The Production Planner plays a key role in ensuring that production schedules meet customer demand while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role supports wider supply chain team, coordinates build plan execution and ensures timely and accurate reporting of production performance within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.
What are the key responsibilities?
• Create, maintain, and optimize production plans in line with sales forecasts, clinical demand, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Balance production capacity with material availability while minimizing downtime.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure availability of raw materials, and components.
• Support Quality and Regulatory teams in audits by maintaining accurate planning and production records.
• Liaise with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to resolve bottlenecks and meet delivery commitments.
• Communicate effectively across teams regarding schedule changes, risks, and priorities.
• Support New Product Introductions (NPIs) and technology transfers into production.
• Use ERP systems to generate and maintain accurate production data.
• Track and report KPIs, including on-time delivery, production adherence, and capacity utilization.
• Provide management with insights into potential risks, delays, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support digital transformation initiatives (automation, data-driven planning tools).
What education and experience are required?
• Primary degree in a relevant discipline (Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management)
• Min 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a Regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience using MRP / ERP systems, especially Advance Planning System is an advantage.
• APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is an advantage but not essential.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and planning software.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is an advantage.
