Production Supervisor – Day Shift

What is the role?
The position is responsible for coordinating production and quality management system updates. The Production Supervisor is responsible for production planning, ensuring that production has the capacity for people and materials for all three shifts. They also work with the site production manager to provide capacity for future production and industrialisation activities. Works with the processes development engineering team to ensure that all new processes, manufacturing systems, and product changes are operations-ready.
What are the key responsibilities?
• Responsible for coordinating production and Quality management system updates, DCR, MF, MI, and PCN that affect manufacturing sites and leading performance improvement to reduce human error prevention and documentation errors across the shifts.
• Collaborate with supply chain and Quality Assurance to develop, maintain and execute a workable production plan across all shifts.
• The role is responsible for creating and updating daily, weekly and monthly production planning and escalating any capacity constraints to the site production manager.
• The role works closely with QA to maintain and improve compliance and Quality Systems (MI, MF optimisations plus NC, CAPA support plus ERP optimization).
• This role works closely with operations MES and the digital transformation team to define and improve all current and new manufacturing systems.
• Using best international practices, identify and promote a continuous and positive improvement culture across all areas (safety, quality, compliance, output, efficiency, and others).
• Facilitate and lead NCR investigations to improve human error prevention in process and system failures, product defects, and non-conformance.
• This role is responsible for developing production reporting within the operations department.
• Actively promote and participate in work centre improvement groups and project teams to improve quality, reduce costs, increase output, eliminate waste, and improve the environment, working conditions, and methods through CI initiatives and lean tools.
• Lead 6S and CI workshops to improve the site's overall cost of goods.
• To become a production subject matter expert in manufacturing and manufacturing systems.
• Interacting and liaising with quality, warehousing, planning, customer service and other manufacturing teams to achieve necessary outcomes.
• In the absence of any production supervisor or Line leader on shift, This position will be required to step and cover the below.
• Work with technical engineering and quality departments to manage resources to support trial builds, new product introductions, and new process inductions.
• Administration duties, which include updating metrics, Time and Attendance system, Holiday planning, etc
• Complete the social projects and assignments as requested.
• When Coordinate, motivate and manage to deliver best-in-class performance metrics and KPIs from component receipt to on-time shipping to customers in an ISO13485 manufacturing environment.
What education and experience are required?
• The production supervisor will have a minimum Level 7 in the relevant discipline.
• The successful candidate must have 2 years of production and team-leading experience in a manufacturing environment.
• This person will have experience leading and coordinating production activities to ensure all new processes, manufacturing systems, and product changes are operations-ready.

• An analytical and rational thinker who can multi-task.
• Ability to effectively manage a simultaneous range of diverting activities.
• Good understanding of ERP system modules and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Power bi).
• Proven ability to work under own initiative inclusively with all work colleagues.
