What is the role?
The Commercial Programme Manager role reflects the increasing scale of global commercial activity for the Aerogen device business and business development activity with external partners, medical equipment and drug manufacturers.
This role is responsible for leading Business Operations programmes to support Aerogen’s commercial strategy. The successful candidate will have substantial interaction with customers & Suppliers.
What are the key responsibilities?
• Leading operational preparation for drug partner programmes:
• Oversee Drug/Device regulatory strategy & QMS updates
• Manage the preparation for clinical supply
• Planning, preparation and execution for commercial supply
• Preparation for combination product – Co-Package / Cross Label
• Negotiation of Clinical & Commercial Supply Agreements
• Responsible for the internal preparation for OEM partner programmes with manufacturers of medical equipment:
• Lead commercial aspects for integration programmes, liaising with R&D, Regulatory and Operations functions.
• Demand forecasting & device supply for OEM business.
• Oversee regulatory & technical preparation.
• Lead implementation of Aerogen updates at OEM partners (IFUs, Items, registrations), including impacted other country registrations.
• Alignment of OEM partner IFUs with Aerogen IFUs.
• Responses to OEM enquiries of technical, regulatory and commercial nature.
• Communication of and preparation for Aerogen product portfolio changes/updates.
• Negotiation of OEM partner supply agreements.
• Supply Efficiency:
• Participant of the Sales, Operations and Financial Planning process for Aerogen’s business.
• Collaborate internally to determine solutions to problems arising from new or unique requirements in local markets (eg: product regulations, labelling, UDI, IFUs etc.) without proliferating new Item codes.
• Manage and effectively implement ROSA improvement initiatives through reducing working capital.
• Co-ordinate implementation of changes to normal supply patterns, involving assessment with Regulatory and other impacted functions.
• Distribution Network Optimisation and Expansion:
• Assess and address obstacles to onboarding of new countries for Aerogen distribution, while limiting proliferation of product variants because of new languages etc.
• Drive improvements to distribution networks including selection of 3PL partners.
• Guide the implementation of Direct Sales Operations including 3PL selection and local setup.
• Product, Packaging & Labelling:
• Lead programmes to reduce complexity in the product portfolio, including simplifying and standardising product labelling and packaging, utilising the full capabilities of existing business systems to reduce inefficiency & risk.
What education and experience are required?
• Masters degree in Engineering or Science discipline, ideally complemented with a postgraduate business qualification.
• Min.10 years industrial experience.
• Min. 5 years in medical device design, development, manufacture, quality assurance or regulatory affairs.
• Experience of managing projects involving cross functional teams.
• Experience in a medical commercial environment would be beneficial.
• A strong sense of ethics and values that drives your motivation and behaviour.
• Desire to succeed tempered with a willingness to learn and work cross-functionally in areas of unfamiliarity.
• Ability to operate independently with attention to detail and quality of deliverables.
• Clear, strong communicator in written and verbal forms. Comfortable with communicating and influencing at all levels of the organisation and with external customers; distributors, pharma and medical equipment companies. Ability to adapt the message to the particular audience.
• Strong track record in complex technical project/programme management.

• Proven ability to achieve on commitments through cross functional co-operation and influencing, including customers, commercial, technical & operational colleagues.
• Experienced in leading structured collaborative problem solving, involving data based decision making.
• Experienced in business process improvement.
• Strong competency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel. Comfortable with data analysis.
