Graduate Planner - Systems and Analytics Focus

What is the role?
The Graduate Planner is responsible for supporting production planning and procurement activities to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of goods. The role involves coordinating schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and assisting in purchasing processes to maintain optimal stock availability. The Graduate Planner will support the planning function with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, ERP/MRP systems, and digital tools. This role is ideal for a graduate with an interest in IT systems, data analysis, and process automation within a supply chain or manufacturing environment.
What are the key responsibilities?
• Support production, material, and capacity planning activities using ERP/MRP systems.
• Support resolution of planning exceptions (shortages, delays, excess inventory)
• Support system configuration, testing, and upgrades of planning tools.
• Assist, maintain and validate master data accuracy within ERP/MRP (BOMs, routings, lead times, planning parameters).
• Assist developing and maintain reports, dashboards, and planning KPIs.
• Support integration between planning systems and other business systems.
• Participate in system improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Assist in raising purchase orders and ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm orders, and track deliveries.
What education and experience are required?
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Strong interest in IT systems, data, and digital transformation
What key skills will make you great at the role?
• Strong analytical and data-handling skills.
• High level of IT literacy; advanced Excel skills essential.
• Exposure to ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Python, or similar tools is desirable.
• Structured problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally.
