What is the role? 
The Commercial Business Analyst role is key to the delivery, execution and support the development of a systematic framework of data analytics within the commercial teams. This role is responsible for data and analytics, trace sales management and data insights.
It is important for this role to continuously look for improvement and drive efficiency in managing a growing number of data sources and requirements for actionable insights. A key aspect of this role is to be comfortable in managing change and promote the benefit of creating new performance measurements to establish commercial excellence.
The successful candidate for this role should have the drive and aspiration to grow their business knowledge and  analytical skills as the demand for analytic diversify and expand.

What are the key responsibilities? 
1) Contribute to bring clear visibility on country/region/global overall business performance. 
• Identify, extract and compile relevant data to build and communicate insight on the overall health of the business (revenue, opex, P+L) 
• Ensure reports are delivered promptly and on time to support decision making. o 
• Develop strong cross functional alignment to ensure high level of data quality 
2) Ownership of performance reporting delivery, timing, and accuracy 
• Provide the required content to support regular commercial management meetings, quarterly business review and board meetings 
• Develop a system to enable high level of accuracy and quick response time to provide deeper insight into commercial performance 
• Develop strong alignment with financial team to ensure data accuracy and build a positive relationship 
• Continuously review current process to improve data accuracy and speed of execution ensuring full utilization of analytical tool and data sources 
3) Support the development of a customer centric analytics framework providing actionable insight to all stakeholders involved in the customer journey. 
• Create new regular reports and adhoc analysis to enable commercial management team to recognize the profile and behaviors that need to be promoted to drive Commercial Excellence 
• Support the data driven approach to marketing initiatives roll out:
     o Provide list of account for marketing target group 
     o Distribute regular update on initiative progress 
     o Build report to communicate on initiative success or opportunity for improvement 
• Focus on scalability and ease of replication for all new reports and dashboard to guarantee scalability 
4) Proactively look for opportunities to develop analytical capabilities and acquire new Aerogen business knowledge (stay curious) 
• Continuously look for potential improvement on how data is extracted, transformed and presented with a strong focus on scalability 
• Develop a strong understanding of the difficulties faced by the commercial team to understand requirements and deliver pertinent solutions 
• Become an established data expert to support the commercial team. 
5) This role works integrally with the Sr. Systems Analyst and admin working on data and analytics and connectivity of data to PULSE. 
6) Support other initiatives including but not limited to 
• Monthly forecasting: 
     o support region and country managers in cross checking the validity of their forecast input 
     o promote utilization of existing self-service analytical tools engage with Demand planner 
Ad hoc research to: 
     o support resource planning effort (country archetype, segmentation) 
     o assess sales channel effectiveness

What education and experience are required? 
• Educated to degree level standard in IT or Business Management
• Demonstrated track record with data analysis with SQL required (2 to 3 years) with data analytics
• CRM Experience desirable
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI a plus)

• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to present ideas and complex concepts clearly 
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills - complex formula required, VBA desirable 
• Level of drive, energy to consistently taking initiative to drive business performance, improve business processes and cross functional team performance 
• Excellent PowerPoint, organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to extract actionable insight from large data sets 
• Flexible approach, enthusiastic and self-assured. Ability to multi-task and be comfortable with change 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills 
• Ability to work within a team environment to achieve agreed-upon company goals 
• Level of desire and drive matched with self-awareness and desire to learn and develop
