What is the role?
This role will help lead the commercial launch of our novel hospital to home solution and drive the downstream marketing initiatives from inception to launch to product management. Specifically, this individual will play a critical role in driving the commercial success of our medical device products within a dynamic market. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives and programs that directly support sales growth, enhance brand positioning, and build strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
This individual will report to the Director of Aerogen Go, North America. They will work in strong partnership with sales leadership, operations, global cross-functional partners and third-party vendors and consultants. This is a key role in Aerogen’s strategic growth over the next five (5) years with broader and deeper penetration of segments as well as commercial growth in one of our largest markets. This role requires a proactive and results-oriented individual with a deep understanding of the home care segment, strong analytical skills, and proven experience in building and executing effective marketing strategies. This is an opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to make a significant impact on advancing healthcare and improving patient outcomes through strategic and effective downstream marketing initiatives.
What are the key responsibilities?
• Lead the successful commercialization of AerogenGO by developing a comprehensive launch plan, including positioning, messaging, segmentation, targeting strategies and a compelling value proposition.
• Marketing Plan Creation: Develop and execute an impactful marketing plan that drives product demand, increases market share, and strengthens brand loyalty.
• Partner closely with Aerogen GO business development executives to understand market needs, gather customer insights, and provide them with compelling sales tools, training resources, and messaging to effectively communicate product value.
• New Product Launches: Lead cross-functional partners to execute future North America launches in the hospital to home and non-acute market segments. Develop launch plans for new product launches. Work with upstream cross functional teams to represent US business needs. Prepare all launch materials for new launches and work with communications manager to create multi-channel launch campaigns that fuel demand generation efforts.
• Cultivate strong relationships with KOLs and HCPs to gather market intelligence, foster advocacy, and shape clinical and market adoption (demand generation).
• New market segment expansion: Work with the Director and Global Marketing to explore new market expansion opportunities in non-acute and acute settings. Define North America market size and growth rate for each segment. Lead deep dive customer interviews to understand market segments and help determine how best to capture the new segments.
• Competitive Intelligence: Define process for capturing competitive intel with Global Marketing. Create cadence for sharing this information with upper management team and the field team. Complete continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends; communicate trends and learning to stakeholders and provide strategic recommendations as appropriate.
• Global Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with Global Marketing team to represent the US and Canada businesses and communicate the specific needs of the team for future product enhancements and form factors.
• Product Management: Support lifecycle management and pricing strategy. Provide guidance on tools that will increase acceptance and adoption of the Aerogen solution. Evaluate the impact of marketing activities and tactics in achieving stated objectives and optimize campaigns in market in real time.
What education and experience are required?
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
• 7+ years in Medical Device Marketing/Product Management or related work experience required
• 5+ years in medical respiratory devices and/or DME segments preferred
• Previous work experience in a similar role in MedTech is strongly preferred
• Marketing, Business or related field degree/experience preferred
• Experience working with patient e-commerce devices preferred
• Sales Experience preferred

• Environmental Conditions: Typical office environments, with work also performed in hospital clinical environment
• Location : Chicago
• Ability to travel ~40% of the time
