What is the role?
The Director of Aerogen Go will lead North America to determine the right commercial strategy/execution plans required to launch novel hospital to home solution and drive to standard of care. This person will
lead the region to scope and execute product launches, drive demand generation efforts and lead commercial team to meet revenue and contribution margin targets for Aerogen Go. They will demonstrate success by recruiting exceptional talent, coaching and developing their team with excellence, and leading team to execute on commercial plan. The role requires outstanding working relationships with multiple functions within the company at a global and domestic level, as well as the establishment and maintenance of professional and clinical relationships on behalf of Aerogen.
What are the key responsibilities?
• Commercial Plan Ownership: Lead cross-functional team to determine 5-year North America hospital to home strategy. Create annual operating plans that drive Aerogen towards standard of care in hospital to home and non-acute spaces with sustained double digit revenue growth, while maintaining margins and delivering increased market share. Annual Plan will include core principles of success, measurable objectives and KPIs.
Key elements of plan include:
• Defining sales process
• Conducting market assessments (including market access and reimbursement)
• Laying out clear unique selling propositions for customers leveraging the Challenger framework
• Creating/localizing messaging and tools to support execution of plan and MarCom campaigns
• Go to market strategy; including optimizing pricing and promotion strategy to achieve objectives and maximize growth
• Aligning with team on distribution plan (order fulfilment and concierge care)
• Integrating a comprehensive marketing communications strategy/execution plan
• Executing best-in-class launches
• Defining North America KOL strategy to help achieve objectives
• Providing North America commercial priorities for data roadmap to expand messaging and value proposition
• Creating and executing training and education plans
• Defining financial goals, including revenue growth, market share, contribution margin targets
• North America Commercial Launch execution: Lead cross-functional team, including core North America team, to launch novel hospital to home solution into the market.
Key elements of launch include:
• Collaborate with quality, regulatory, legal and Global Marketing to ensure necessary labelling updates, registration filings, product updates, and other internal requirements are met prior to launch
• Define phasing for launch, with clear milestones and KPIsto measure progress
• Partner with Hospital to Home Sales Executives and core salesteam to ensure high quality execution of sales process takes place
• Incorporate commercial operations into plan (demand planning, supply chain, distribution, GPO contracts updated, third party partners if applicable, etc.)
• Rebrand solution, create core messaging and initial tools for launch
• Arm sales team with tools and resources to win in the market and achieve revenue targets
• Determine MarCom campaign strategy and prepare initial launch campaign for broad launch
• Own U.S. website updatesfor hospital to home and non-acute markets (product overview, ordering information, trouble shooting, etc.)
• Determine conference and events strategy; including webinars that help fuel demand generation
• Ensure Commercial Excellence team makes necessary updatesto our CRM, LMS and commercial enablement platforms to help power commercialization efforts
• Work with Clinical Education Manager to create internal training plan, training tools and execute trainings
• Determine homecare company partnership needs, evaluate partners, secure any necessary contracts and manage relationship / integrate into team.
• Team Leadership & Development: Responsible for building and developing high performing Aerogen Go team that is commercially astute, dedicated, innovative and
adaptable. Lead cross functional teams as needed, including leading core business in successful launch executions of hospital to home solutions.
• North America Hospital to Home KOL Strategy: Role will be responsible for maintaining productive relationships with thought leaders, trade or clinical associations, and others with
clinical influence in order to ensure that Aerogen’s clinical and economic data are sufficient, persuasively presented, and clinically relevant. Partner with cross-functional team members
and these key customers to drive Aerogen to standard of care in hospital to home and other non-acute market segments.
• Data Roadmap: Lead team to prioritize key clinical, economic and QoL claims we need to bolster our value proposition in hospital to home and other non-acute market segments. Build
a clinical data roadmap with cross-functional partners that will secure the data we need to drive growth & achieve market share targets in assigned market segments. Ensure this is rolled into
our global data roadmap as they ultimately own the entire roadmap and need to ensure we have one master priority list with everything.
• Financial & Budget Responsibility: Develop budget and P&L for the fiscal year. Accountable for effectively managing budget and P&L by maintaining fiscal discipline with the Aerogen Go team. Develop KPIs to track progress and measure success.
• Aerogen Go product expansion: Partner with Global Partners to determine future product enhancements. Lead Aerogen Go team to help scope new product offerings with global. Lead North America team to execute best-in-class launches that further increase market share and expand our business into new market segments.
• Role will also handle other responsibilities and tasks as required by the business.
What education and experience are required?
• Bachelor’s Degree (advanced degree preferred)
• 8+ years of experience in medical device sales and marketing, focused on demand & revenue generation.
• 3+ years managing a high performing team, with proven examples of teaching and coaching team members
Preferences:
• Experience with Challenger Sales and Marketing approach
• Experience in respiratory therapeutic area and the hospital to home or other relevant nonacute settings
• Experience within a global organization, including working with a range of local and global internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Operations and Medical Affairs

• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time (domestically, with some international)
