What is the role?
The Global Product Manager is responsible for the strategic management, commercial performance, and lifecycle optimisation of Aerogen's global aerosol drug delivery portfolio, including both Aerogen-owned products and integrated OEM platform activities. This role owns portfolio strategy, lifecycle governance, launch excellence, market expansion, portfolio profitability, and future portfolio planning across acute and non-acute care settings globally. The individual will serve as the commercial portfolio leader, translating customer, clinical, market, competitive, and regional insights into portfolio strategies, lifecycle actions, roadmap priorities, business cases, and new product investment recommendations.
A core responsibility of the role is supporting Aerogen's OEM and integrated solutions strategy, ensuring current and future platform integrations deliver strategic, clinical, operational, and commercial value. The role will work closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, Business Development, and regional leadership teams.
The objective of this position is to maximise the value of Aerogen's existing portfolio while helping shape the next generation of products, platform integrations, and growth opportunities that strengthen Aerogen's position as the global standard of care in aerosol drug delivery.
This role is a:
• Portfolio Leader: Owns global portfolio strategy, health reviews, prioritisation, and roadmap recommendations.
• Lifecycle Owner: Drives lifecycle actions from launch through growth, optimisation, rationalisation, and end-of-life.
• OEM Integration Partner: Supports partner platform strategy, integration requirements, value propositions, and Project Quantum Leap activity.
What are the key responsibilities?
Portfolio Strategy & Lifecycle Management
• Own and execute the global portfolio strategy aligned with Aerogen's corporate, commercial, and clinical objectives.
• Manage the complete product lifecycle from launch through growth, optimisation, line extension, indication expansion, market expansion, rationalisation, and end-of-life planning.
• Conduct regular portfolio health assessments evaluating revenue growth, market share, gross margin, adoption, customer feedback, competitive position, and supply/operational performance.
• Recommend lifecycle investment priorities and corrective actions to maximise portfolio value.
• Develop strategic business cases supporting portfolio investments, enhancements, product changes, and lifecycle decisions.
• Lead portfolio prioritisation discussions across global and regional stakeholders.
OEM Integration & Strategic Partnership Management
• Support Aerogen's OEM integration strategy and future platform partnership roadmap.
• Collaborate with the OEM team to provide product management support for OEM-integrated offerings throughout their lifecycle.
• Translate customer, clinical, and commercial requirements into OEM integration requirements and business cases.
• Partner with Business Development, R&D, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to evaluate new OEM opportunities.
• Assess strategic fit, market opportunity, technical feasibility, regulatory requirements, and commercial attractiveness of integration opportunities.
• Develop positioning and value propositions for OEM-integrated solutions.
• Support Project Quantum Leap initiatives and future platform integration opportunities.
New Product Management & Portfolio Governance
• Establish and maintain structured product evaluation and prioritisation criteria for future portfolio opportunities.
• Support product concept development from opportunity identification through business case approval.
• Lead cross-functional product requirement definition activities.
• Translate market, clinical, customer, and competitive insights into product requirements and opportunity assessments.
• Maintain visibility of future portfolio gaps and emerging market opportunities.
• Support governance processes for portfolio investment decisions.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy
• Monitor global market trends, customer requirements, emerging therapies, workflow changes, and competitive activity.
• Identify unmet clinical and commercial needs across acute and non-acute care environments.
• Partner with Commercial Excellence and regional teams to quantify market opportunities and growth potential.
• Develop competitive response strategies and portfolio recommendations.
• Maintain deep understanding of customer buying behaviour, reimbursement dynamics, tender environments, and channel structures.
Product Positioning & Value Proposition Development
• Develop differentiated global product positioning for both standalone and integrated solutions.
• Build compelling clinical, operational, and economic value propositions.
• Ensure consistency of messaging across regions while supporting localisation requirements.
• Partner with Medical Affairs and Regulatory Affairs to ensure all messaging remains evidence-based and regulator compliant.
• Support pricing strategy, reimbursement initiatives, tender positioning, and market access activities.
Launch Excellence
• Lead global launch planning for new products, product enhancements, platform integrations, and lifecycle initiatives.
• Define launch strategy, customer segmentation, commercial readiness plans, and success metrics.
• Coordinate cross-functional launch readiness activities.
• Monitor launch performance against established KPIs.
• Execute post-launch reviews and implement corrective actions where required.
Commercial Enablement
• Develop sales tools, training materials, competitive positioning resources, and value-selling frameworks.
• Ensure regional teams are equipped to effectively communicate product differentiation and customer value.
• Support key customer engagements, distributor discussions, strategic account opportunities, and OEM partner meetings.
• Collaborate with forecasting and demand planning teams to support accurate portfolio planning.
Clinical Evidence & Customer Insight Generation
• Partner with Medical Affairs to align evidence generation activities with portfolio priorities.
• Engage KOLs, clinicians, healthcare systems, and strategic customers.
• Translate clinical and market insights into actionable portfolio recommendations.
• Ensure customer feedback directly influences lifecycle improvements and future roadmap priorities.
Regulatory, Quality & Compliance Support
• Ensure product strategies and lifecycle activities remain aligned with regulatory and quality requirements.
• Support product change management activities and commercialisation of product updates.
• Partner with Regulatory Affairs and Quality teams to understand commercial implications of product changes, complaints, field feedback, and evolving regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliant marketing practices and product communications globally.
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Serve as the central portfolio leader across global functions.
• Drive alignment across Commercial, Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and regional teams.
• Influence decisions through strong business cases, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management.
• Present recommendations and portfolio reviews to executive leadership.
Financial Performance Management
• Support annual strategic planning and portfolio investment decisions.
• Manage portfolio forecasts, growth expectations, and profitability targets.
• Monitor portfolio KPIs including revenue, market share, gross margin, customer adoption, launch success, and ROI.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, simplify portfolio complexity, and accelerate growth.
Portfolio opportunity assessment criteria
• Strategic fit: Alignment with Aerogen growth priorities and long-term category leadership.

What education and experience are required?
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• In-depth demonstrable experience in MedTech product management, portfolio management, marketing, or commercial leadership.
• Proven experience managing global medical device portfolios.
• Strong track record in lifecycle management and successful product launches.
• Experience developing business cases and product roadmaps.
• Experience operating within regulated healthcare environments.
Preferred
• MBA or equivalent advanced qualification.
• Respiratory, critical care, pulmonary, or hospital technology experience.
• Experience working with OEM partnerships and integrated technology solutions.
• Experience influencing product development and commercialisation decisions in global organisations.

• Fluent in English and ideally one other language between French, German, and Spanish.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
