What is the role?  
This role is key to the delivery, execution and support the development of a systematic framework of data analytics and strategic storytelling within the commercial teams. This role is responsible for data and analytics, data visualization, and data insights. This individual will continuously look for improvement and drive efficiency in managing a growing number of data sources and requirements for actionable insights. The role of Commercial Business Analyst will continuously evaluate the business to drive actionable insights to help guide decision making for leadership and sellers alike. 

What are the key responsibilities?   
• Contributes to bring clear visibility of country/region/global overall business performance.  
• Identify, extract and compile relevant data to build and communicate insight on the overall health of the business, to include Strat Plan support, QBR support, Monthly Business Updates, commercial modeling, and other projects assigned.  
• Ensure reports are delivered promptly and on time to support decision making.  
• Develop strong cross functional alignment to ensure high level of data quality  
• Ownership of performance reporting delivery, timing, and accuracy  
• Provide the required content for regular commercial management meetings, quarterly business review and board meetings  
• Collaborate to develop a system enabling a high level of accuracy and quick response times data requests, providing deeper insight into commercial performance  
• Develop strong alignment with financial team to ensure data accuracy and build a positive relationship  
• Support compensation and quota program build, analysis, rollout and maintenance to ensure accuracy and support needed reporting.  
• Continuously review current processes to improve data accuracy and speed of execution ensuring full utilization of tech stack and data sources  
• Create and manage audit processes for ongoing accuracy of all reporting  
• Support the development of a customer centric analytics framework providing actionable insight to all stakeholders involved in the customer journey. 
• Create new regular reports and ad-hoc analysis to enable commercial management team to recognize the profile and behaviors that need to be promoted to drive Commercial Excellence  
• Support the data driven approach to GTM initiatives (including Spiffs, campaigns, market expansion, etc.)  
• Evolve, and develop new reports and dashboards with focus on ease of replication to guarantee scalability, generating insights vs. presenting data  
• Collaborate with internal Commercial Excellence team on evolution of CRM / data visualization tools  
• Proactively look for opportunities to develop analytical capabilities and acquire new Aerogen business knowledge (stay curious)  
• Continuously look for potential improvement on how data is extracted, transformed and presented with a strong focus on scalability  
• Develop a strong understanding of the challenges faced by the commercial team to understand requirements and deliver pertinent solutions  
• This role works integrally with the Sr. Systems Analyst and admin working on data and analytics and connectivity of data to PULSE.  
• Support other initiatives including but not limited to  
• Monthly forecasting:  
• Support region and country managers in cross checking the validity of their forecast input  
• Promote utilization of existing self-service analytical tools  
• Engage with Demand planner  
• Ad hoc analysis creation as assigned, including but not limited to: 
• Support resource planning effort (country archetype, segmentation)  
• Assess sales channel effectiveness  
• Board-level presentations 

What education and experience are required?  
• Demonstrated track record with data analysis with SQL required (2 to 3 years) with data analytics (CRUD operations; queries, basic database structure experience) 
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills - complex formula required, VBA desirable 
• CRM Experience desirable (Salesforce) 
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau a plus)
