Today is World Prematurity Day , a day to raise awareness of preterm birth.
Approximately 15 million babies are born preterm each year, accounting for about one in 10 of all babies born worldwide.
We are very proud of everything we do in Aerogen to help improve the outcomes of these babies.
This year we had the opportunity to get involved in something truly special. Lisa Blennerhassett is the mother of a beautiful little girl called Ella. Ella was born at 26 weeks, weighing just 506grams and spent many weeks in the NICU.
Lisa has written a beautiful book “Once Tiny, Forever Strong” telling the story of Ella, one that she hopes will provide “comfort, reassurance and most of all hope” to other parents going through the same challenges and emotions.
Aerogen are delighted to have supported a print run of this book to ensure it gets to every single NICU in Ireland.
On today I just feel so proud of the book and I am forever grateful to Aerogen for getting behind me and allowing it to reach the levels that it has. Thank you again so very much.
Lisa BlennerhassettAerogen are the world leader in acute care aerosol drug delivery with a huge focus on improving neonatal care. As such when I heard Lisa on the radio and read the book about Ella it really resonated with me and I was deeply moved. I am very proud that we can support a print run of this book to ensure it gets to every neonatal unit in Ireland.
