Aeroneb Lab

The Aeroneb® Lab Nebulizer is a high-efficiency nebulizer for use in preclinical aerosol research and inhalation studies. The Aeroneb Lab provides a valuable link between preclinical and clinical drug development research for compounds targeted for delivery through the lungs.

Using Aerogen’s OnQ™ technology, the Aeroneb Lab is designed to produce a highly respirable aerosol from virtually any drug in liquid format, without altering or damaging the compound’s molecular integrity or altering its concentration.

The Aeroneb Lab is available in 2 formats, a standard VMD nebulizer (4.0 µm  - 6.0 µm ) and a small VMD nebulizer (2.5 µm – 4.0 µm) for use with preclinical models of various sizes.

Aeroneb Lab Efficiency

Representative lung scintigraphy after aerosolization of 30 µL containing 2mCi of 99 mTc-DTPA with the Aeroneb Lab in a preclinical infant model of mechanical ventilation with a 2 kg macaque. (Mean deposition 12.3 ± 4.1%, n=4)

Aeroneb Lab Efficient

Produces a high quality aerosol (precise particle size with low GSD)
Low residual volume minimizes drug waste ( <0.1mL)
OnQ does not alter formulation’s molecular integrity

Flexible

Aerosolizes a broad range of liquid formations without altering molecular integrity
Two particle size options maximize utility across a range of test species and test conditions
Provides a bridge from preclinical to clinical studies

Proven

Utilizes the same OnQ technology used in proven commercial and research nebulizer products.
Published studies have demonstrated successful aerosolization of a variety of drugs in solution or suspension, including gene therapy vector¹ (rAAV) and the recombinant fusion protein² (Epo-Fc).
