A poster shown at the AARC Congress in Tampa, FL showed how one hospital saved $57,854 in drug costs when coverting from Combivent MDI to unit dose medication using the Aeroneb Solo.

Out of an Irish based med tech industry of over 200 companies and with over 25 applications, and 6 finalists, we won Silver overall. Aerogen were the only indigenous company that qualified as a finalist and we were up against the cream of the cream in the Irish med tech industry .

Aerogen recently celebrated the Ruban d'Honneur in Barcleona. The award was given earlier this year in recognition of its International Growth Strategy. The official presentation took place at a grand gala evening in Barcelona where winning companies from all over Europe gathered to celebrate their success. The European Business Awards, sponsored by HSBC, saw 15,000 companies compete for 110 Ruban d'Honneur awards in eleven categories.

Philips and Aerogen have collaborated to develop the NIVO Nebulising System, a new drug delivery system designed for use with patients receiving non-invasive ventilation (NIV). The Aerogen nebuliser, which is intended for use with the Philips Respironics Nebulising elbows and AF531 mask, incorporates Aerogen’s multi-patented aerosol generator, which is based on vibrating mesh plate technology and enables the delivery of aerosolised medication to the lungs.

Aerogen has announced a drug delivery partnership with San Francisco biotech company Dance Pharmaceuticals to develop a next generation inhaled insulin product which would see an end to the numerous insulin injections which diabetic patients currently endure.
